In April 2016 we were successful in bringing 8 units to Mazatlán Mx to distribute to needy community. The response units included 2 fire trucks, 2 ambulances, and 4 handi buses.
These units were either donated, purchased and this year we had a few clubs purchase and donate such as the Rotary Club of Calgary Fish Creek.
It was a wonderful week going from community to community to donate and also to see what else they may need. and to see what they have done with what they have.
We had some challenged at the border into Mexico this year and it took a lot more time to get going but with a couple of long days of driving we arrived on time to all the scheduled events on time. It makes you think of the greater good instead of focusing on the task at hand, and of course with every experience you learn how you can improve for future events.
We also had a chance to travel to the pallet school Rotary committed to helping to build a school to help make it possible for 7 classes of pre school children get their preschool so they can be accepted into the regular schools instead of being left behind by society.
The balloon animals and play swords were a hit with the children receiving them, Thank John Fortunka, Mr balloon man, you made us a hit with the childrens.
